About the Beartrapper

Welcome to my home on the web. I am the beartrapper, usually known as Dan. I am a happily attached gay man. My partner is Mike. We own a home in southern Louisiana. Yes, that's right...Cajun Country! We were both born in the same small town (New Iberia),and this is where we still live. We met in August 1990. I was 29 years old and he was 38.

I am an electrician by trade, but am currently working as a maintenance foreman for a research facility. I know, some people expect gay men to be florists or "hair burners", but that's not us. We're just your typical blue collar guys.

Mike was married when we first met (oops). I guess that makes me a homewrecker, but we are quite happy together now. He has two children from his marriage, a daughter who is married and a son who just recently popped the question to his girlfriend.

The picture below was taken at the Southern Decadence festival in New Orleans, Louisiana (Sept. 1998). We've attended Southern Decadence every year since 1993.
